... And the Nominees are...

Printer-friendly version

Apparently not going to happen.

So. The naysayers that wanted the project killed are going to be happy, at least. I received a total of 7 nominees. I wanted at least 1 nominee per category -- I didn't think it was too much to ask.

Ah well. Was probably a dumb idea anyway.

That really is too bad, Edeyn

I'm not much for the contests that I have to enter for myself, but
I certainly apopreciated the thoughtfulness of your endevor, the
work that you did put in, and the work you were prepared to put
into it.

I would not feel bad. I would say that it probably has more to do with
the fact that no one seems to have very much free time right now.

Good try, Edeyn.
We'll get' em next time.

Not a dumb idea

I'm sorry it didn't get the response, but I admire you for trying to make it happen.

It doesn't take any talent or creativity or energy to say that something won't work. It's just a reflex that a lot of us have.

I still think it's an interesting idea.

No response, really

Okay, even assuming only 2000 readers per day here, and that ALL of them are the same people every day, and that only a quarter of them have made an account, that's 500 people. 32 days when I only needed 50 nominations to make it work. The more the better, but I could have done it with one per category. One for every 10 people. And I got 7 total -- 3 from one person. So there were only 4 people responding at all.
