To all readers,

Remember to hit the "Kudos" button. You know, the one that's shaped like Facebook's "Like" button and which serves a very similar purpose. Unless, of course, you legitimately didn't like the story and have no intention to comment or read any more of it. Then, don't.

I am writing this because I recently realized I forget to do it sometimes.

And if you don't do it because you're a guest user and the system won't let you (apparently a result of multiple guest users already having the same idea), I would note that - from personal experience - getting an account here is a painless procedure.

That is all. You may resume your regular literary adventures.

kudo button

actually it's not required to be a registered user or login with guest to hit the kudo button. However to leave a comment you do. Please do enjoy the many stories here and feel free to kudo. I certainly do.

What I have found

Many times I just pop into the site to see what is new and if a new story grabs my attention I read it without logging in and then leave a kudo but I have found that if I am not logged in the Kudo does not count. I found that if I kudo'ed the story the kudo count went up but when I refreshed the page the count went back to the original number. So many times I login after I have read the story and kudo it - or I wait until I have time to read more stories and then do serial kudos - not sure if it makes it look like I read the story in 2 seconds before hitting like, but that is what I honestly do.

I want to thank everyone writer for posting their stories here! The amount of talent is amazing.

Homonyms, synonyms, heterographs, contractions, slang, colloquialisms, clichés, spoonerisms, and plain old misspellings are the bane of writers, but the art and magic of the story is in the telling not in the spelling.

Doesn't surprise me

Protection from spamming going overboard. Honestly, I'd rather this was the issue. As is, you know that the number of Kudos on each and every story is not over-representative (might be artificially low due to people forgetting to hit the button, might be 1-2 votes high if no guest readers have "Kudos"ed while members have logged out and done in addition to doing it for their own account, but not any more than that due to the limit on guests hitting the button).

Loging in

I've found I had problems with kudos also. Now I will Log in each time!!!!
