So, in the new Legend of Zelda game, Link crossdresses as a gerudo, a race of desert dwelling women. Leaked screenshots, show Link talking to several Gerudo women, and being complimented for how beautiful he looks, dressed in a baby blue gerudo top with silk pants and a veil over his face and a feminine version of his usual hat.

So yeah, I'm sure any gamers on here will find that delightful. Naturally fan art of gerudo link is starting to pop up to and several of my friends have sworn that if they can play as crossdressed link all game, they are.

Japanese culture shines through

Almost feels like this is Nintendo's apology for messing up Linkle's introduction lol
Crossdressing and Trans characters are pretty common in a lot of classic Japanese games, Cloud at the market in Final Fantasy 7, Birdo's original backstory in Mario, Poison in Final Fight and Bridget in Guilty Gear come to mind off the top of my head.

I've heard a few reviewers commenting today that they kind of wish there had been an option to play as either Link or Linkle in the game from launch and even some speculation that she might be introduced as part of the DLC season pass's they are trying to set up on the Switch too.

Either way the game looks awesome so far and I'll admit Link rocks that outfit like a badass... although how it fits when you see how big the native Gerudo actually are compaired to him is kind of mind boggling? :3 lol

Reasons

There is a reason for that in those games. Simply put it is accepted there. Watch the video Is Toad Really Genderless by Gaijin Goombah to see what i'm talking about.

hehe

WAY better way to do it than a simple mask!
