I want to thank everyone who kept a good thought for her, or a prayer. They took her leg, just above the knee, and she'll be in rehab for a month or however long it takes. Fortunately, she will be in a rehab facility where I'll be able to visit her on a semi regular basis, since I go there quite often in the course of doing my job.

Many many thanks to all of you. Top Shelf really is a place where we care about one another.

God bless you all and thank you so much.

May Your Light Forever Shine

I hope she's better soon.

It sounds like you guys have a lot ahead of you, Catherine, but
the fact that you can pop in to see her often is wonderful.
You take care of both of you, and be sure to tell her how many
people hold you both in their prayers and hearts.

...that your mom's surgery went well. I hope the rest of this goes well too, that she keeps
her spirits up and doesn't fall into depression or some sense of being less than she was.
And I hope in time she'll be able to get around okay, with a prosthesis or whatever.
I'm sure your being there for her will help a lot!
~~~hugs to you both, Laika
Great news!
Glad she's doing well. I hope she's the kind of "tough old broad" who'll find a way to make fun teasing small children with her fake leg.
