With my disabilities, I haven

With my disabilities, I haven't been able to game in a while.

Do you have any particular setting or style/themes in mind?

I have a couple character concepts right now, but they wouldn't fit in every setting, and they might not fit in the available classes. I could play one from a religious order who had been attacked by slave-traders, who would try to rescue others from the slave trade. (Yes, inspired by how certain swerfs seem to see themselves.)

Possibly

I haven't played much since 3.5 but I've been interested in finding a new group. It would really depend on how frequent you were thinking of having sessions. I don't want to be the flake so if I couldn't commit to all the meetings I wouldn't join. It wouldn't be fair to you and every other player.

fun! I'm jealous

I'd love to... but will be hiding in the dark cave of theatre-dom preparing for the opening of a Sherlock Holmes play. :)

Hole in the Sky details

Anyone who is interested in playing, reply here or send me a PM. Be prepared to tell me the details of your characters. You'll need two, the one that attends the RRRR in the "real world" and the one that one ends up being after going through the Hole in the Sky. :)

Either character can be of any sex or gender, or you can ask for an in game transformation. Character in the "Real World" should be human but on the "Other Side" you can be almost anything that I think I can run with.

This is a big adventure, and this will be the fifth time I've run it; though every time it is different.

I use the Pathfinder Rules which are an adaptation and extension of the OGL (Open Gaming License) version of D&D 3.5. You can download a character generator here: http://pcgen.org/download/ which will work with Pathfinder and several other gaming flavors.

You can look at the Pathfinder rules here: http://www.d20pfsrd.com which includes nearly all the OGL Pathfinder material; everything except module specific rules, pretty much.

I'm researching other gaming aids for conducting a game over the internet, which I have done before. Look for more Hole in the Sky posts in a few days.

Hugs to all,
Erin

i havent played in years (board game style) advanced, 2nd ed

for me as well. we also used something to add some spice to it, mixed in another game, easily transferable called Arduin, created by one of the original TSR guys. been thinking of this for a while just got some ad&d books, all the old arduin (someone bought it after David Hardgrave passed and have created a new "better" version).

i would be interested but not for a few months after i make my move to San Antonio and get settled there

Arduin Grimoire

Arduin Grimoire was an offshoot of D&D. If I remember correctly, there were three (3) books (like the original three (3) D&D books I used, they were actually more like "pamphlets" with paper covers).

I have another suggestion regarding "doing D&D" (possibly more relevant to BC), but I don't have time to explain tonight. I am currently in Eastern Poland (1944) waiting to see my thirty-five (35) T-34(s) being slaughtered by five (5) Panthers. [I play miniatures every Friday night].

FYI, a Panther is a German WW II tank (widely believed to be the best WW II tank).

originally it was 3 books

but they added two more. each book had a different name, the first was the Arduin Grimoire, second was Welcome to skull tower, etc.

they also added some other books on the way, one book with all the models that were released and one that wasnt released and only run by David Hargrave at that time. he worked at TSR and other gaming shops over the years and that is why it is so compatible :D . he self published, which is why they are not "high quality. i might still have the originals, not sure if so packed in a box somewhere, but recently the company who bought it (Emperor's Choice, new version they created is called Arduin Eternal), do to demand, repackaged and is selling all the old game system. do a search and you will find the new one, go to their site and the old stuff is on there, or it was a year ago when i bought the stuff (life and lack of players has kept them in a tub of other gaming material.

we also did a lot of wargaming (starfleet battles, arab israeli wars, a little warhammer, etc)

Day? Time?

Depending on day of the week and times, I'd be interested... I've been looking for a group for a while now, but being in the entertainment biz, my evenings and weekends are typically shot... and that's when most people play. I'd be willing to put my hat in the ring as a GM is the scheduling works out... but I'm also just as happy to play.

Interested, but...

I'd be interested, but that depends on the media. I'm Europeans and my timezones don't allow me to play with Americans in chat RP. If it's a play by post or play by mail, sure, I'm in.
I'll most likely bring out my tried and true elven sorceress.
