Hi all!

First time blog so be gentle...unless you like it rough than I'm ok with that too.

I've recently become a fan of Koean tv better known as K-dramas due to Netflix. They are listed as tv series but they are what we would consider mini series. Most are the very clean type that could be shown during family hour in the U.S. I want to mention a few I thought you maybe interested in.

"Secret Garden" is the first. Adult drama where a rich young business man meets a young stunt woman. He falls in love but she wants nothing to do with him. I hate spoilers so that is all I'm going to say but there is a happy ending.

It's funny and in places brought a tears to my eyes in others. I will watch it again. Let me know if you watch it and what you think. Until next time have fun!

Korean TV Series - 1

You might like MY GIRLFRIEND IS A NINE TAILED FOX (sub-titled). This is a 2010 romantic comedy about a Guimo (kitsume in Japanese - a thousand year old fox with nine tails that can assume the appearance of a human) that falls in love with a human.

The female lead was also the female lead in a 2012 Korean Sageuk (historical drama) called ARANG AND THE MAGISTRATE (subtitled). This Sageuk is a comedy/horror/Mystery/ Fantasy series about a dead girl who haunts the magistrates of a small village in Korea. The story is based upon an actual Korean myth. This show is compelling because of the humorous love story between Arang and the new magistrate (who has a mysterious background) and the mystery of how the dead girl died. Parts of this story are quite bizarre, I am still trying to wrap my head around the fate of one of the heros of the story who is "rewarded"??? by being turned into a goat???

Korean TV Series - 2 (Saguek)

I prefer (sub-titled) Korean Sageuks (historical dramas). The best one (in my opinion) was called DONG YI. This is the story of an orphan child who rises from a wanted criminal against the state to a concubine who gives birth to one of the greatest Korean kings. She escapes her death sentence by hiding and becoming a slave in the palace (working for the palace musicians), gets the attention of the king while trying to solve a mystery in the palace. She gradually rises upward in the palace (with the support of the King) eventually becoming a concubine to the King.

I don't use netflicks, I just watch them when they are shown on one of the local Korean language stations.

Korean Drama

You Who Came from the Stars ( ) isn't bad either. Haven't really seen anything on that level since it came out.
