Mary Jane's

I was VERY happy when I got my Mary Jane's. I had to order them online though because my shoe size is not normally kept by the local shoe stores. Women's size 12 (US) are difficult to find in stores.

I'm lucky as far as shoes go.

10 m(or b), which is high, but within the normal size range.

I use to buy narrow when buying men's shoes. But you cant really find them any more, which has encouraged me to buy & wear women's shoes even when presenting male.

My wife wears a women's 13.

My wife wears a women's 13. The one shoe store that was in town that stocked that size is gone. (Brucettes) It's a crapshoot if she can find anything at much of any of the other stores, and buying online isn't a great idea considering shipping costs for returns.
[edit]
Supposedly, they're open again - http://www.brucettes.com - They go up to 13WW (womens)

I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.

Hmm

Hypatia, I think we need to get a pair of Mary Jane's for Frank here. He appears to be jealous of us girls. :)

Mary Jane in Mary Janes

No one can say "Mary Jane" without me thinking of one of my favorite cartoon series from when I was a child, "Mary Jane and Sniffles" about an Alice in Wonderland type who could shrink to the size of a mouse and enter a world of make-believe. :)

Thank you for that

I'm possibly old enough to have seen Mary Jane cartoons, I don't think I ever did, so that was enlightening. Although I use the term in relation to the shoes it's fairly recent and until then would have been a single bar or strap shoe. Sadly with the weather we're having, mine won't be getting much use in the foreseeable future.

I'll take some Mary Jane

Roll up a big fat on . . . oh, not that kind. I associate the shoes with the Lolita style, and they are just a bit different in the way they are made. I've got the few odd bits and bobs of Lolita clothing, nothing brand though. I get a bit more into it then I'll have to buy a pair I guess.

I guess I'm lucky

in fitting the normal range.

but http://www.modelexpressvancouver.com will special order in larger sizes, and have great prices.
I got a pair of knee high black leather stiletto heel boots for $79+tax there. The thigh high man-made material boots are only $150+tax

I got a pair of shoes, 2" platform, 6" post heel with 'Mary Jane" uppers there, in man-made material, for 39.99+tax

Stupidity is a capital offense. A summary not indictable.
