Hi all,

I am preparing the next few episodes in JoB and am getting #52 polished for posting, #53 is complete but at second draft stage, and #54 is halfway done.

#52 contains two diagrams (floor plans of the upper floors at the Community Hall) and #53 contains one.

My question:

If I post these with Earthly English writing, would that detract or distract from the 'ambiance'?

I could post them with just Anmarian Palarandi writing, but then you wouldn't understand them.

I could post them with both.

So what do you feel I should do? Or what is your preference?

...

Cheers

Joolz.

anmarian, with english translation somewhere (side, bottom, or just mentioned in text if its important)

text on the plans

Why not follow established custom as in the maps.
Since Anmarian script is clearly a later arrival, at least in the valley and superseded Chivian (Latin) lettering label the plans in Anmarian script with translation in English lettering which of course has its roots Chivian/Latin.

Ditto

The map in Anmarian, perhaps with a superscript 1,2,3... and a 'side panel/square' with the English translation would work great.

Thank you for your suggestions.

I have now coded it so that when you first see the floor layouts, you will only see Palarandi script.

If, however, you click on the diagram, then the English version will pop up. Just hit the 'return to previous page' button to get back to the story.

Cheers all

Joolz.

P.S. I will delay posting it until next week, so as to give Penny the limelight she so richly deserves.
