Unpublish my stories? I'm not 100% sure of doing it yet, but I'm close enough that I'd like to know how. I promised Sephrena that I wouldn't just delete them.

If you don't mind?

Could you share why?

Ask me

I can do it quickly and easily and save you time, and it can be easily undone. You don't have to tell me why, if the time comes but I might ask. I hate seeing people leave.

Well...

I used to love this site. And a couple of people have ruined it for me. The friends I made here I really can't talk to anymore because one of those people is close to them too. It isn't fair putting them in the middle. I won't name names.

But since my run ins with the two of them, every time I post anything I'm on the edge of an anxiety attack about what someone will post in response. It's no secret that my health hasn't been good for a long time now. I don't need that kind of anxiety. Between my physical problems and my depression, I just can't fight people like them anymore.

There are no other sites like this. I know. I've looked. This just isn't what it used to be for me.

I don't know what to do.

~And so it goes...

Remember Rule 1

If someone is giving you grief, remember Rule 1, this is a friendly site.

If they can do it to you they can do it to anyone. Just upping sticks solves your problem but leaves the perps free to annoy everyone else.

If you have a problem, take it to Erin or Piper and see what they can do for you.

If the site isn't what it used to be, help make it that way again.

Please don't go Erica

Please don't go. I know how stressful situations like this can be having been in them several times in my life. Don't give up.

I really empathise

I really empathise with your feelings. To me, the public comment area is like a wall of graffiti. Many people saying nice things is totally overridden by one person's criticisms. I'm quite happy to take criticism, but not for it to be published in public view of everyone.

So I publish all my stories with public comments turned off. You do have to go through two written warnings in order to do so, but it's well worth while. I still get lots of comments about my stories via the PM system. That has the advantage that I'm told as soon as I log on there's a message waiting for me, and such postings often turn into ongoing conversations - much better than the public comment area.

I'd really recommend that you, and everyone else with similar feelings give it a go. There have been far too many authors on this site who have walked away for precisely the same reason.

I'm sure Erin could do something clever and convert your existing stories to turn off public comments, if you asked her nicely.

So, please don't go. Simply turn off public comments instead.

Best wishes
