Illness update.

So. When last I posted I had caught some kind of virus. Wellll... it's turned out to be something that must have escaped from three mile island... or chernobyl. It's laid me up fair and proper for the better part of two weeks with no real end in sight. The only bonus seems to be that, combined with an anti-smoking drug, I have, after 50 years, quit smoking.

Funny thing is though.... I thought quitting smoking would improve my breathing, but it seems to have accomplished the exact opposite. Yes, I do have COPD, but I can't quite seem to catch my breath at this point. Trust me when I say that if this gets any worse, I'll be on the first gurney headed for hospital.

If you call I might answer, or I might not, since sleeping seems to help me breathe better. Actually, the worst part of this whole thing is the weakness that seems to totally disable me, along with the shortness of breath.

Thanks for the well wishes and all that. I'm sure, with time, I'll be in my usual fighting shape soon. Well,, Round IS a shape!!!!!

Aww

Take care of yourself and I hope you start feeling better.

Writing is what you do when you put pen to paper, being an author is what you do when you bring words to life

You will be better

Don't worry. The breathing is a little harder in the beginning, because the lungs lining start recovering a little bit and moves a little better the secreted stuff in the lungs out. Then the things improve. The illness will pass and everything will be okay!

As for the round shape - mathematicians say that it is THE perfect shape! :-)

Get well, Cathy

I'm glad to hear you have quit smoking, but the method you chose is almost as bad as mine was. Hugs.

Have some tea to help with your breathing, it keeps the pipes open.

Love,
Erin

Be Well
