Hey everyone! Cathy gave me a good talking to so here I am with some explanations. These last few months my commenting and generally being part of the BC community has dropped off.

I'm one of those who has problems with migraines and I've been wrestling with them off and on for years. These last few months they've been particularly troublesome. My visit to my doctor gave me a good bill of health despite the fact my head felt like it was shorting out.

Giving this I've been working on identifying and avoiding 'triggers' so that's been taking up most my energies.

I have been writing, but not so much on completing what I start. My unfinished folder is growing larger darn it!

Once again I thank everyone at BC who has helped me not only become a better writer, but has aided in making each day a little brighter with the stories you've share with us all.

Hugs

Not only a great writer....

but a very nice person indeed! My migraines tend to be cyclical throughout the year; triggered by sinus headaches that don't know where and when to quit. God bless!

drink fluids

drink fluids to keep hydrated. dehydration makes it easier to get headaches and migraines.

Plant firs

Plant fir-trees but not on your ground. Sounds as magic though helps anyway. Give it a try if even don't believe, it will not hurt you.

You have my sympathies

My migraines have been over the top for about a month. I hope that they improve for both of us.

I was getting headaches...

When I was in high school, i would always get headaches and they were diagnosed at migraines. After high school, I nearly lost my job, and the doctor finally sent me for an MRI. They weren't migraines at all...I had a pituitary tumor. Now years later and after surgery, I am headache free, my I now have all kinds of endocrine problems and I am also blind in my right eye. So If you tend to get frequent headaches, I recommend getting an MRI if you have not already done so....

I don't know

If it works but a story I read recently said pouring ice water in a sufferers ear can brake the headache. I wish you health and relief

OUCH!!!!

Even just THINKING about pouring ice-water into my ear makes me start to fear the pain. Ears are VERY temperature sensitive, that is where babies temps are taken if I remember correctly. You would have to COMPLETELY immobilize me to be able to pour ice-water into MY ear.

Though I sympathize with those who suffer from migraines - I personally do not believe I have ever had one - so far.

Get well...

The mold/pollen counts up here in Wisconsin have been very high of late.

This is hard on allergy/asthma sufferers such as my sister.

As you are well ahead in the season down to the south of me perhaps you had a similar problem?

I get them too occasionally.

I have found a program called EFT which is short for emotional freedom technique. It is also commonly known as tapping. I still don't know the full ins and outs of exactly why it works but it does do wonders for me in several areas.

Thanks everyone!

For your words of encouragement. I've seen the doc's about this and they have said that my migraines are well migraines. To other sufferers of this and other frequent pains and hurts you have my sympathies. Being under the weather and not at ones' best isn't a good thing. I do have to wonder how much TG conditions contribute to such things given what they are, but science has yet to get there.

Thanks again everyone!
