There is a new Gaby chapter up today and behind the scenes there are positive things happening with the website.

What I need feedback on is my scribbling - should I concentrate on writing more Gaby, Nena, Peaches or something else entirely?

let me know.

Personally. I think you should put more story into Gaby. Right now it reads like a travel and racing book with occasional character development. If you take out the race course descriptions and the scenery descriptions you would have a very thin book indeed.

Oh and I miss the pictures.

Maddy's characters

Hi,
I've been a huge Gaby fan for years. That's one of the reasons I was so upset that, not only were you having problems with your site, but also considering quitting writing! EEK!
So, if I had my druthers, I'd ask you not only to emphasize Gaby, but also to work with all those who have volunteered to help you improve and maintain your MaddyBell.com site.
Still, Nena and Peaches should not be discarded.
Of course, that's just me. I'm sure you'll get comments from all your fans.
Be well, girl. I look forward to chapter 41.

Another vote for Gaby!

I have to imagine there is going to come a time where you reach the end with Gaby... In my mind it's not quite here yet! I look forward to the next book you write with her!

more gaby, and an occasional nena. I like all your characters but those two stand out as the most interesting to me. keep up the good work.

Vote for Gaby and Nena

I am adding another vote for Gaby. Reading a chapter of Gaby has become a part of my Wednesday routine.

But I am also voting for Nena. Her involuntary female persona is so vivacious. And I can travel vicariously through her (mis)adventures without triggering my own PTSD.

More Maddy!

Just about anything you write will be well received, so it all boils down to personal preferences of your horde of fans!

So my preferences are, keep the story moving on Gaby. I tend to get a bit lost on some of the racing bit, though it's so much a part of the saga it's necessary. I always enjoy seeing Gab's get herself caught up into yet another shenanigan at the hands of her friends. I particularly like the situations where her dad has to make a creative explanation for her exploits. It might be interesting to see some romantic tension develop between Gabs and one of the boys on the team (not Josh), who is thrust into the whole doubting his sexuality, etc.

I also really enjoyed the Nena adventures, and it's been a long time since we've seen a new tour.

Of course, whatever you do, I hope you continue to sell your work at lulu.com. I can't use Amazon, because my family and I share our Amazon account.

The truth is, we'll support you no matter what you write!

Hugs
Carla Ann

More of?

I like most of your stories and till recently I would go to your site to get the latest version of Gaby's trials and tribulations, however I have waited long for more Nina and bought from Amazon your two Peachs' books in hope that there was more there. Same for Suddenly Mary. I liked them but had hoped for more. Thank you for the work you have done, and the entertainment it has provided.

'Please, Ma'am, I want some more Gabi.'

I have a complete set of the printed books from Scaramouch and Lulu (and will keep an eye out for more of the revised versions of the earlier volumes), plus keep compiling copies off the website (adding pictures of the places described from Google Globe and other sources). I really like the combination of sympathetic characters and travelogue -- for me vicarious visits to places I haven't seen.

Please, Ma'am, I want some more.

For me? I like both Gaby and

For me? I like both Gaby and Nena - either would be more than fine. I'm simply glad you've been willing to give your time for our entertainment.

I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.

More Maddy!!

As has been said by so many respondants, I can never get enough Gaby. Please continue with that series. I love all your writings and Nena et al is awesome as well so I would love to see more of those. With all your story lines, I actually get my Google maps our and look up where these wonderful places are. I call in virtual touring. I love you pictures and all that you post and add to mine and all your reader's entertainment.
Thanks again for all the time and effort you put into this for our benefit!

Write what YOU want

first and foremost.

Honestly, Gaby is my favorite of your stories. I stopped reading Nena after your "it was all just a dream" episode, and I don't recall checking out Peaches, though Sam An Tha was interesting.

Write what you will. You'll always have an audience :D

Like all three, but Gaby has my heart.

I love all three, Nena's mis-adventures and always ending up the girl and kind of liking it and not wanting to admit it. Peaches confusion, his mum's job not helping. And Gaby, reluctantly becoming a girl (don't think I'm giving anything away their, if you have read Gaby's cookbook is by Gaby von Strechau) and not realising from his first day at the Silverberg Gymnasium he's already slipped over and the Girl has landed.

Because I only found your books last October I've been able to indulge in down loading them on my kindle and reading them one after the other. Pure Joy. For me Gabs is a breath of sanity in a screwed up world and keeps me sane.

Now I'm waiting in anticipation for Gabys and Mands adventures with Mum and the girls. If I could only have one of the three it would have to be Gaby. The Books have it all. Gaby and her Family, Connie and the rest of the angels, and the bike racing with Roni and co. I hope your are still writing her adventures in another ten years time. But in the end it has to be what You want to write. Whatever you choose, I'll be reading it Maddy.
Best wishes
Sophie

In all actuality.....

I would be happy to see more of any of the three, but given a choice I would vote for more Gaby.

Culture Clash ended at a pretty major decision point in Gaby's life. It would be nice to see where the story goes from there.

love drew/gaby

I love the drew/gaby saga but I also have enjoyed the peaches. If the peaches were continued and drew/gaby slowed down that would not bother me. I would prefer that you express yourself in the way the pleases you.

More of Gaby, please

I have been lucky to visit some of the places where Gaby have visited and will do so again this summer. It is something special to walk on the streets where Gaby must have walked. So of course I want to read more of the life of the Wunderkind. Unfortunatly I will be in Germany at the Gabycon dates this year so I cannot be with you and all your admirers. Wishing you and Gaby a nice summer.
(Would I recognise Gaby at here present age? I doubt that)

Gaby is the one I have focussed on

I have read a little bit of Nena, but Gaby's story is one of my favorites.

Having said that I have wondered in what direction you could take the Gaby story, it does seem to be close to a natural conclusion.

Still, I think you need to focus on the story closest to your heart.

What to do --

Man keep writing Gaby... As one person said they'd like you to fill out characters more. I agree, you have a wonderful talent to bring the characters to life but, now we spend more time bike racing. This is not to knock bike racing. B/4 Gaby I thought bike racing was this herd of people in tight pants blocking to road so I couldn't drive home. But I''ve learned a lot about bike racing to the point I even went to a local event. So now bike racing is a large herd of people in tight pants with a plan of attack to win, but still blocking the road to my home.
If time is a problem, do Gaby and develop the characters to a greater degree. (haven't heard from your name sake in quite a while, what happened to Maddy?)
So much to say, but I guess that's all for now.
