Traffic
Plan on gridlock. They will shut down the roads if a motorcade is used.
Obama Visit
Gridlock is a mild word for the chaos that happens to traffic before and after the motorcade. streets get blocked off at least 15 minutes beforehand and are kept blocked about 20 minutes after it passes. The same happens when the motorcade drives on highways except all overpasses and underpasses are closed off as well as on and offramps.
When life throws tomatoes at you, make spaghetti sauce.
Sounds familiar
Apart from the whole over and underpasses this sounds very similar to what they did for the Tour of Britain cycle race, I'm guessing the whole thing goes through in one block though, probably at about the same speed as the race too.
