Wonderful news.

After my first consultation with my psychiatrist on October 22nd I have been classed DM 5 and he has agreed I am suitable for GRS. Letter has been sent to my GP and she has prescribed Oestrogen plus Spiro.

We have agreed to suspend any breast augumentation because my breasts are growing nicely and it is better to wait and see where they end up before deciding what augumentation (if any) they need. So far they are close to 36/38 B to C; they still appear to be growing and very noticeable..

However we have agreed to go forward with the Orchidectomy because my pesky testicles are still determinedly producing the dreaded testosterone. I am being referred to a local surgeon in Wales with view to their removal within the next two months. (What it is to go private!!!!!) No agonising 2 year waits whilst living in the mode.

Next probably a clitoroplasty but wait and see with that one. Definitely no vaginoplasty (No sex please I'm Beverly)

Best Wishes, Full Speed Ahead, Damn the Torpedoes

We've spoken. I used spiro for a very short time. The Orchi was the best, and was really no trouble at all. I lied to the office staff, and drove myself home. An ice pack, and a bit of Vicoden for a couple days and I was right as rain. Biking might be a bit longer.

You've seen my face. The next thing I did was go to a reputable medical establishment, not the mall quacks, and got a "Citrus Chemical Peel". It's lasted for 10 years, though I am thinking of asking about a repeat. I've noticed the onset of small jowels. Gad, what to do about those?

The next thing I did was to spend $7600 american on laser to remove all my hair, cept on the top of me head. That was brilliant fortune for me. Still no hair. My face was half gray, so I still shave. :(

I can see no neo-vagina. I've not used mine at all. It will save a lot of money and perhaps bike riding will not be such a pain? Had I thought of it, perhaps that is what I would have done. I still believed the crock that I could be a real woman with a real husband.

Best to you.

Another reason...

Another reason to postpone breast augmentation is that post SRS/GCS/whatever accronym you like, it is not unusual to gain another cup size... And, it IS possible to be larger than is comfortable. (Just ask my wife/daughters with their F-H cups..)

And, yes, the SOC (Standards of Care) have changed a tad in the last decade.

Best wishes,
Annette

Good luck and congrats

and please remember what you decide to do, you do for you. I am fully transitioned. I am at peace with who I am. I have a few fascinating friendships and a budding one (giggle). I had to tell a male friend about me as I are drawn to each other. He answer was amazing. "You are a beautiful woman and that is all I see." So we will see. Mind you I like both flavors so ....

More congratulations

Even if it is ten years since I got the final OK for the operation, I can still feel the jubilant joy when I had finally passed the last "hurdle" in the long process here in Sweden. Papers from the psychological and gynecological doctors were reviewed by another specialist who presented a summary to the special board, of the Medical Board, that had the final verdict in their hands. How I got the 50 miles from Stockholm back to my home is still a unanswered question in my life. So I can really join you in that golden haze that you must feel now. We have other medicines to treat us here in Sweden but your treatment seams OK. As a pharmacist I can only point out the small risk of accumulation of potassium. Check with your other doctors that you do not have any other medicines that can rise the potassium levels. Again my warmest congratulations. Ginnie
