Over four years ago I walked away from this place for reasons which by now have lost their relevance. Since then I haven't written a word. Which is probably a relief to many. Until last Thursday when I had an idea and was foolish enough to start to write it down.

And I found some of the old enjoyment. So in the hope that someone else may enjoy the reading of it, here it is.

Comments and even criticism will, as always, be warmly appreciated.

Oh and hello again to old friends.

Ha!

Inflict us with all of your (supposedly) inane scribbles; after all, you can't be any worse than me.

Your "Deception of Choice" saved my life

That work helped me to deal with the situation I was experiencing at the time. In many ways my transition was involuntary and would never have happened had it not been for certain Mental Health people with an agenda. Your story captured me hysterical feelings perfectly and helped me to move forward into a role I had not asked for.

At age 67, trying to go back and resurrect my old life is pointless, and on the bright side, I no longer had to contend with a spouse whose very purpose in life seemed to be to emasculate me.

Now it is extremely confusing to find that society is much more accepting of me in this role than in the previous. As you can see, I have not figured life out and likely never will. Self demeaning talk from you is not acceptable as I am quite thankful for your work. :)

Much peace

Gwen

My Heart Leapt

I logged on this morning and saw the name "FLEURIE" against a new story. I haven't read it yet but I know it will be excellent....if not better! Fleurie is one of the best writers ever to have graced this site and it was a sad day when she left us a few years ago. Give yourself a treat and read her old postings as well as this latest one.

I do hope her return will be sustained.

Welcome back, my dear friend,

Joanne

'Never' is a four letter word...

OK, I never said I could count! :)

I DID however learn to never say never...it WILL come back to haunt you and Karma is a witch...

The story is GREAT! I loved it...I am fairly new to the site...so, I have no idea what drove you away...but I get some of those 'drivers'...

At any rate, welcome back...and PLEASE keep writing! :D

Hugs,
Shauna

Months late, as usual, I realise the news

I am also glad you're back. I have just done a search for your name even though I remembered your having left - but I searched just in case, hoping... and here you are!

Months late, because I only dip in now and then, have a good read, and then attend to many other interests until my next spate of visits. And I don't always comment if what I feel moved to say has already been said, or if I can't frame the words right. So please don't take silence as a sign of not being appreciated. Everyone has different rhythms and cycles and I think some things simply take time to take root. I was fascinated by the Van that Changed the World, but you'd already stopped writing it by the time I found it.

Take heart and realise that some of us, maybe quietly and hidden from your view, are really great admirers of your writing.

Glad you're back.
