This has been a test

This has been a test of the extra-ordinary blog capability on BCTS. If this had been an ordinary blog, you would be asked to turn your radio on. If you can't turn your radio on, use a little lube, it couldn't hurt.

Brought to you by "Tastes Like Chicken" the all-pork substitute for fried vege-tables!

Hugs,
Erin

= Give everyone the benefit of the doubt because certainty is a fragile thing that can be shattered by one overlooked fact.

Well, I WAS gonna post...

This is a test of the Blog posting section of Top Shelf. If this had been an actual message there would have ben some useful/amusing information within..

We now return you to your regular web browsing.

That's a big 10-4 good buddy.

You got the Night Rider here, broadcasting to ya live and direct, high atop western New York. Yeah, we runnin co-phased trashcan lids for antennas and 5 watts(cough, cough) of CB power back atcha. You keep the greasy side down and the shiny side up. We'll catch ya on the flip flop. 3s and 8s on yer household. We on the bye.

Sorry. I was a CBer for years back in the early 70s and the lingo just stuck with me. Great, great times... standing on the highest point in central Illinois, looking for funnel clouds in the middle of a thunder and lightning storm as part of a REACT Team (Radio Emergency Associated Communication Teams)

CB was only the beginning...

Once I got through that craze, it was HAM radio (Amateur Band HF and 2 Meter VHF), then got to play in the big leagues being a radioman in the US Navy, on subs and destroyers. Voice, teletype and Morse code.

Thank you for your service.

Military members past, present and future have my respect and gratitude.
