This morning I posted a comment on a story but couldn't find the "save" button, eventually there it was, below the reprint of the story right at the page bottom. I hope this can be shuffled up the page a bit at some point :)

If it aint broke, dont fix it !

Some good advice my dear parents gave me long agp, in the early decades of the last century, and advice I have passed on to my own children and grandchildfen, and hope soon will pass on to my great grandchildren;;;

I am sure you all enjoyed making the changes to the site layout, but I dont like it so much as how it was before. I was looking at the top of a page to see how many Kudos points a story had been given and could not find it. Today I searched some more at the end of a story and finally noticed a thumbs up sign where we now can add a kudos - took some finding, a couple of days I wondered what had happened to the bit at the end of the story where one could show one's appreciation. There is too much colour and it hurts the eyes, on the new page layout.

It won't stop me from reading BCTS - the stories are way better than what one finds on other sites, but I just wish you had not made these to me unnecessary changes. Sorry.!

Brightness

I'm sure that the admin crew has better things to do than institute changes in the site just for the sake of change. I see many posts pointing out "problems" with the site that I've not noticed and have not come across. So I suspect that the changes are improvements on problems that not all of us have. This last upgrade to software running the site was a major undertaking and while we are using the site, things need to be tweaked so minor problems get resolved. I'm sure there is a priority list.

As for the too much color question. The site does seem to be brighter. Might I suggest you simply turn down the brightness on your display?
