I know I should improve my english - wait, that's why I'm here.

Anyway, I hope I don't bore my audience with all the mistakes and my still poor language skills.

Well, I guess some of you might want hear, erm read about my trip to London.

Being taught how to do my makeup and given some advices by Holly, I tried to make myself presentable for a day. Quite an experience when you are really still asleep, but your heart is beating twice as fast as normal worrying if somebody might read you. I nearly poked out my eye getting my mascara on. Anyway, I followed Holly's advice to make my eyes more cat-like and managed to get blue mascara and blue eyeliner on and my makeup hid the traces of my masculinity.
Being in my twenties and quite sporty, I wore my white cargo pants, a pale pink, v-neck top and a nice pale yellow hoodie.

Samantha said I looked ok and I trust her. Another thing was, I never met Cat before nor had i seen a photo of her. Guess it was the same for her. All I knew was, she is a nice person.

So it got to 9 and there she was - Cat, picking me up for my London experience. Her first comment after the usual greetings were exchanged, was 'I though you were taller.' - nice! I know I'm a small girl. But well, who am I to complain about that? So, after asking Samantha a last time if I looked ok ( If she had said otherwise, I'd have changed immediatly, yet sadly into my uhm, more male like clothing... let's stop that thought here. ) and got a yes. After a short but critical checkover, we went off to the station. First stop - tickets; I didn't had any money yet, just my Visa card. No comment from the teller. Fine, so far so good.

Btw, Cat is the same nice and kind person as she is at Gabyzone. ( Hi Cat, thank you for the nice day in London, you still got my postcards in your backpack ;) )

We hopped onto the train and off to London.

No sniggering, no pointing, no comments.

After arriving in London we went to see the tower bridge, the London Towers, from the outside, as there were too many tourists. We went along the Thames taking pictures here and there and Cat kept showing and telling me about many places I can't remember in London.

Visiting cycle stores was mostly a waste of time, as they didn't have the shoes I had wanted - some nice Adidas Karma... Sorry for the shameless drooling, but you have to know, someone's story got me hooked to road cycling. We also took a look into every sports store we found and were browsing through some clothing stores. The only place where I bought something was Harrods... please no comments. Just a teddy bear for christmas.

Oh I forgot to tell you, before Harrods we went onto the London Eye to have a nice sight over the town.

What can I say... it's absolutely impressive! I never had guessed it would that big!

It was really great being up there and having a watch over London. I was shown the headquarters of MI6 as well as some other nice and interesting buildings around the town.

Well, the day was really great and in the end Cat was really knackered and my feet were aching a bit too.

We were really thankful when we got of the train back from London and Karen was awaiting us.

So that's a short piece about my day in London.

Any mistakes are purely accidental, and I'd like to be notified by my kind readers about them.

The London Eye

You should read Jenny Walker's "Breaking Cover" after visiting the Eye and seeing MI6. It would probably make the story even more vivid.
