As many of you know, Holly Hart passed away recently. 40 days ago, to be exact.

I don't really know about others, but among traditional Catholics, we usually hold a requiem mass forty days after a loved one's passing. I was not a relative of Holly's IRL, so I did not think it proper to arrange for such a mass. So all I did was to include Holly's name (both as Holly Logan and Holly Hart) in the list of mass intentions for yesterday's regular service (people can ask a priest to offer a Mass for several reasons, like for example, in thanksgiving, for the intentions of someone else, like a birthday, or for the repose of the soul of someone who has died).

I am not a "real" relative, nor do I think Holly was Catholic, nor particularly religious. I guess this is more for me more than anything, to declare my wishes for her, and to declare my sadness that she's gone.

It's about one AM, Saturday here. Moe and I landed in Manila International an hour ago. We got through customs super-fast (compared to DC), and are staying in the passenger lounge until our ride arrives. Manny is extremely late. I called him and he explained that no one told him we were arriving tonight much less the time of our flight's arrival. Hmmm. Someone dropped the ball there. Will investigate on Monday.

Ah well. Manny said he's at least an hour away. That's okay - gives me time to post this.

In-Laws, DyFS, and a Whole Mess of Stuff.....

So shit hit the fan today.

Amy's parents basically told her that I don't care for her, that I'm not welcome as Family any more, and that she will probably be cut off from her family if she doesn't leave me.

And by leave me, I mean they gave her a deadline of next saturday (2 days after the amniocentesis).

Awesome, Awesome, Must Read!

Wonderful article in The Atlantic about a supportive and loving "man's man" of a father raising a -- in his words -- "gender creative" son.

I must admit to having shed a happy tear or two.

Amazing how life can turn around.

It's amazing how life can turn around. THis past month I've been working on moving out and getting set up for college. My Dad kicking me out pushed that plan into high gear, whether I'm ready for it or not. So I've gotten everything set up, and have my room mate selected. The kicker? The Student housing, instead of treating me as male as on my ID, they accommodate to my wishes and treat me like a woman. Even gave me a female roommate. Not something I expected. but something I'm happy for. I met my roommate at the mall earlier and just basically had fun getting to know her.

Hi, everyone. Will be away for a couple of months, so don't get mad, or worry if you don't see me logging on or posting for a bit. Peace! Sweetie and I are just taking some time off from everything, to recover from the loss of the baby. Just need some alone time. I'm sure you understand.

a heartwarming and heartbreaking story all in one

I don't know if any of you are familiar with the story of little Logan Stevenson, the little 2 year old boy who was suffering from cancer and served as the best man at the wedding of his parents over the weekend. Sad to say little Logan lost his battle and died Monday night. It was such a sweet story to read and yet it just tears your heart out. If there is one thing in this world that will get to this hard heart of mine, it is child that is in pain for one reason or another. His troubles are now over and I pray the blessings on his family.

I don't know if you read my blog from a couple of months back, but, in that blog, I talked about a friend who was having problems at home, including fighting a weight problem and a diabetic condition (she had lost a foot already), and her insistence on continuing with transitioning.

As with most families, her family was not uderstanding of her transgender issues, and it has become worse and worse for her (She said, "I have examined my living conditions, and found them wanting."). Her children have even threatened her with violence. She and I talked about it and we both agreed that, if she continues to insist on pushing through with her transitioning, there really is no choice but to move out. She set it for July 1, a date I'm sure she picked at the time because she felt it was far enough away to be comfortable.

Alas, it's July 1 today. And it hasn't happened. I guess I just have to shrug and say to myself, "what can you do?"

It was actually confirmed February 22, but Sweetie and I haven't been telling anyone. We weren't really keeping it a secret, but we would only tell people if they asked. So we've been able to keep it quiet for a while. Which was something we thought was important. I being a post-op TG girl wasn't the issue (as very, very few here know), but the fact that we were in a same-sex relationship was. Especially in a very conservative, predominantly-catholic country like the Philippines. (Guess that's the advantage of Washington DC - people are more blasé about such things back home.) And adding this to the mix will just make us doubly... controversial... So we though keeping this quiet was important.

But that's impossible now.

Having some fun under a beach umbrella

out down by the water with my SPF 50(freckle woman) Some boys down the way asked us to play volleyball with them. That was fun, had a couple of games, flirted a little though mostly between Jasmine and I. Of course they were probably trying to flirt with us, but Jas and I sort of ignored them and Rae and Jess well not a lot of experience with flirting. Then they started getting grabby, so we came back to our spot on the beach.

Anyone out there in Albequerque N.M.?

I'm trying to locate my cousin who, at last knowledge, was living there. I am, when it comes to using search engines on the internet, a complete dummy... clueless if you will. If you live there or near there, please contact me for his name. I haven't seen or heard from him in over 30 years and we were, or at least seemed to be, close pals when we were kids and teens.

Thanks in advance.

Heard more of the family are ill

I have heard through various sources that other writers, as well as others that are part of the Big Closet family are having a rough go of things lately. Some are having physical issues and some are mental issues and are hurting. To those people I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Let you find the strength and love to overcome these challenges that are facing you all while knowing that the BC family is with you.
HUGS!

Good news~

Soooo, In an addition to my last blog, good news actually happened. My Therapist sent me an email awhile back that she forwarded from a couple of Transwomen in my area trying to set up a transwomen support group for ages 17-35. I thought I'd give it a try, extend an olive branch so to speak to help get their group off the ground and once again get a support group after Smyrc dropped me for being too old. After a few tries of getting to the group and failing, They invited me to hang out with them. Extending the olive branch back to me. I will admit, I was a bit nervous.

A little while ago (June 5, 10:58pm eastern) I got an e-mail from Laika. From out of the blue, actually.

Her e-mail was a little funny - it didn't have a subject-title, it was also sent to four other people that I didn't know (who is DALENEK1 anyway), and the e-mail's content was just a hotlink to an ad about a raspberry diet supplement.

And a few minutes after that, my iPad started asking me to re-confirm/re-enter the passowords for my other e-mail profiles. Hmmm... that's funny. Anyway, I didn't, and nothing bad happened when I didn't re-enter the passwords... Hmmm...

I cannot therefore help but think that Laika and I were being spoofed.

I have read, oftentimes, how difficult it is for girls to find bras that truly fit. They talk about being pinched, being squeezed, or spilling out of too-tight bras, or having straps fall off during inopportune times for too-loose ones. To be totally honest, I have not had that problem, but then again, I have only been wearing them for a short time (a little under eight years), plus my boobies aren’t earth-shakingly big that I would really need the support or the control.

Mixed Feelings

So happy the twins got home last night, but Jasmine has not been home in a week now, and been having a hard time reaching her even through the Myst. The girls asked where thier father was, why he was not there when i picked them up. They have talked to Jas via Vid chat and said they loved their new mom. So things should be great but. I wish I knew what was going on with my Beloved, I guess it is sort of my fault, I spent 3 days buried in code catching up, before I noticed Jas had not been home. That's when I found out Jas had not been in her office and her phone and tablet are there.

Annoyed with my family

So I went to my mums for dinner tonight, it being Mother's Day and all. It was myself, mum, her boyfriend, my sister, her boyfriend and my 2yo nephew. We were sitting around the lounge room drinking coffee, and somehow they got onto the topic of teaching Hunter (my nephew) the difference between a boy and a girl, based on general appearance. All this time, I'm sitting there thinking "he's 2, he doesn't give a damn, and that's the way it should be" (I'm an equalist). But then the funniest thing happened, my sister has started going around, asking him what each person is, a boy or a girl.

Ma'am, you've dropped your keys.

I was on vacation last week and while I'm on vacation, I like to dress as girlie as the occasion will permit. At home, or when we aren't going any where, that means the full Monty, anything goes. The same goes when I'm out and about alone. However, because my wife is uncomfortable with people (even strangers) knowing her husband is cross-dressing, I have to tone it down to a point where I can present as male. Just where that point is has relaxed over the years.
