The Rest of the Story

Trojans

Help anyone! Last night I got hit with a Trojan named System Tool. It is very nasty! Scotty from here gave me some help sending me Malwarebytes Mbam. However, apparently didn't work as my machine is still messed up. I'm running McAfee AV now, but am not hopeful given some of the forums I've tried. Any advice?

E.L.F.: Extremely Livid Faerie

Inane Christmas music that some idiot had decided was the perfect Santa’s Workshop tune, echoed blandly in the noisy room. Just hours away from the Fat Man’s only reason for existing, everyone including those preposterous excuses for reindeer, were getting ready for the Visit.

Zerophilia Fanfic

Today while web surfing I ran across this story, "QED." It appears to be a "Zerophilia" fanfic. It is by Jon Buck and is hosted at the site. Warning it is still incomplete, but I found it interesting anyways. Since it was just posted there is more to come.

The story link is http://shifti.org/wiki/User:JonBuck/QED

The site link is http://shifti.org/wiki/Main_Page

Shifti has stories about all kinds of transformations, many of them about furries. However, there is a section that is just TG. It is set up in a wiki format so it can take some exploring to find what you're looking for.

Alien Prequel Spoilers

Here's something I ran across today in my daily surfing. Seems like someone has leaked some plot notes from the proposed Alien: Prequel movie in the works. In the Spoilers are details that sound like the script writers have been reading TG fiction. Here's the link with the Spoiler warning. Personally I'm guessing this isn't the real thing, but amusing at least to me.

Career Day Part 3

Hey! I just posted Career Day part 3 over at StarDust. This ends vol. one. It's a complete story but I have more of Lee's tale that I'm working on. So despite my hyperactive muse I hope to get all of The Career Day Saga completed before trying to finish up way too many older stories that needs completion.

http://stardustr.us/content/career-day-wheels-bus-go-round-a...

Next Weekend I'll post part 3 here at BC. I can't promise I'll have vol. 2 ready or not. We're preparing to move at the end of the month and so things are starting to get a little hectic. Wish us luck!

Career Day: The Wheels On The Bus Go Round And Round.

What would you do if you had a chance of living your life over again? Would you correct all those mistakes hindsight told you? Use your knowledge of the future to become rich? But what if this wasn't quite the past you remember?

New Grover Story!

Hey Everyone I have a new story up at StarDust. Career Day: The Wheels On The Bus Go Round And Round. It's a lot different from Once A Hero. It's about time travel, Alien machines, racists, and the joys of getting your hair done. Story length is around 46 thousand words, and will be posted in more or less three even parts. If I get part 2 that I'm currently working finished, I'll simply add it onto the end doubling the length.

Enjoy!

Orbits Two

Hi again everyone! Guess what? Once again I've traveled all the way around the sun! You know what else? I've had some good company on the trip. So much has happened in this last orbit. My Southern Comfort Conference Scholarship, the amazing time there at the conference and many other wonderful things. There has also been the sad ones of losing both our beloved dog Delta and our cat Zoe. I've learned more about myself and the harm I did to myself. Denial is more than just saying no or refusing to admit certain truths.

My feline protector

Today my feline protector Zoe began her final journey. We noticed she was losing weight, but suddenly she stopped eating altogether last week. Taking her to the Vet, we found she had both some kind of liver and kidney problems. Hoping it was just an infection, we left her there over the weekend so she could get the fluids she needed as well as the care. We hoped that would enough for her to recover. That wasn't meant to be. As with so many other things we hadn't the money to take things further. The Vet recommended exploratory surgery, but that was far out of our financial means.

The Button
by
Grover

I sit here at my kitchen table staring at it. There really wasn’t nothing much to look at. A bulky looking briefcase sized box with a screen displaying a very attractive woman with a very obvious touch screen button flashing off to the side.

That’s all, just an over large tablet or odd shaped laptop. No identifying trademarks or even a seam. Hell the damn thing didn’t have a cord or battery either. It shouldn’t work at all.

But what it did do was something else again.

Hard Sell 2

Hi Everyone! After the events Dear Understanding spouse explained in her blog we found PC Shield (Our Anti-Virus provider) hit us with a 50 buck 're-new' charge for our two computers without notifying us of it. Being on a limited fixed income this is a BAD thing. Can anyone suggest another Anti-virus that doesn't take business lessons from the Mafia?

OTH Posted at StarDust

Greeting and salutations! Part 14 and the Final Chapters of Once the Hero is posted at StarDust! This completes my 2nd novel. Yay me!

I'll post that final part here at BC on Sunday along with the character list already up at Stardust.

I do have a question for all my readers. Anyone who have seen Tim Allen's Zoom's Academy can see the similarities between OTH and that movie. I'm thinking about doing a self-published version of OTH, but if it's Plagiarized that of course is out. I'm simply too close to the story to tell. My question is does anyone think my story is plagiarizic?

OTH Delayed again

I'm sorry to say that Once the Hero has been delayed again. I'd finished the story even before I began posting but because of feedback and earlier tweaks, I heavily edited the last and final chapter. It is now some 6 thousand words longer and I hope ties up a few more loose ends.

Currently it is off to the wonderful Kimmie and Hope so they can do their magic. When they're finished and I have a chance to give it that one last read of approval I'll go ahead and post it.

I hoped that it would've been ready but it was not to be. :(

Sigh...

Micheal Bard

Transformation story author Micheal Bard is in critical condition and isn't expected to recover. Full information is at the Shifty story site. http://shifti.org/wiki/User_talk:Michael_Bard

Although Micheal wrote 'furry' stories, at least one of them had TG content. One of my favorites is "It's in the Skin"

Once the Hero Delay

I hate to say it but the new posting of Once the Hero at StarDust will be delayed. I've been hit with a migraine headache from hell and like always I'm taking awhile to recover. I hope it is only a day or two, but for everyone's sanity I have to send it off first to Hope and Kimmie. Yes, my grammar and spelling is that bad! I do have a list of characters that I'll post instead of that last chapter.

Again sorry everyone!

Hugs!

Once the Hero Part 12

Oh My! Once the Hero Part 12 is up! For some reason today I had a bear of a time getting it posted. If not for my habit of copy/pasting to a empty doc just in case I would've had to start over several times. I don't normally have a problem but Oh MY Goodness I did today! So I'm not only a bit later than normally but have used up my allocation of curses for the week! The later third is still in some kind of weird format but I'll fix that as soon as I find out how!

Got cut!

Hey everyone! Well I have some not so good news. Heroes of Justice did not make it to the second round of Create Space and Amazon's Breakthrough Contest. In any case I gave it my best shot and I want to thank everyone who helped me put together my pitch.
I don't know if anyone else from here tried or not, but if you did, you have my support!

Thanks everyone!

Once the Hero Part 11

Hey it's Sunday and that means the next Part of Once the Hero is up at StarDust! I never really intended to name these 'parts' since the only reason I split them up was for convenience in size for posting. However certain events do happen in each of them so this weeks Part 11 I've named Loose Cannons. You see Maggie did an Oops. :)

OTH Part 9

What's Up! Once the Hero Part 9 is up at StarDust! As always a big thanks to Hope, and Kimmie for their help cleaning it up. Another thanks goes to Faraway and his help with Russian culture and language issues! More thanks to all my readers and commentators who help make this story just a little better than it would be without you all!

Thanks!!!

No stupid questions

Have you ever heard that? No stupid questions just unasked ones? Well here is one for you all and maybe someone can help me! As I posted before I'm entering Amazon's Breakthrough contest. As part of their requirements, I need to have a from 3 to 5,000 word excerpt. Okay I have that! Now I don't claim to be very computer savvy but this one stumped me. The excerpt needs to be double-spaced but no 'hard' ones using return. I found the margins and changed those. I changed the font and font size, check. So how do I change the sentence spacing?

Pitch for Breakthough contest

Hey everyone!
I'm going to enter Amazon's Breakthrough Writer contest with my Heroes of Justice novel. http://www.amazon.com/b?node=332264011 The entry date begins on Jan. 25 2010, but one of the requirements is a 250 to 300 word pitch. This is important since that is what is going to weed out the majority of the contestants. The problem is I haven't a clue about writing something like that. What follows is my first attempt and I would be forever grateful for any assistance.

A question about lightning

Hey everyone!

I'm researching a story and I have a question that I can't find the answer to. Does a modern metal hull ship have anything to fear from even a bad lighting storm at sea? What I can find suggests no real problems. The metal hull and purposely designed systems channel the lightning away into the sea just as a lightning rod protects a house by grounding it. Even wooden ships had systems to protect them as early as the mid 1800's.

OTH update

Hey everyone! After having a chat with someone who knows Slavic/Russian naming conventions much better than I, there is going to be a name change. Federnova is going to be changed to Savitkaya. Silly me got things confused and this hopefully will fix my error. By the way this also means that Peter is now Pyotr Savitskiy. See the nature of my mistake? Family name of Savitskiy for the males but for the females it's Savitskaya.

Hopefully this will be the last! Don't you just love works in Progress? LOL!

OTH Part 6!

Hey everyone. The next chapter of Once the Hero is up at StarDust. I was running a little late today but it's up now. I've finally nailed down the last parts so we'll looking at 14 total parts/posts. The divisions were made solely on the need to keep them down to about 10 to 12k each. I did try to find reasonable good places for the splits but some of them are unbalanced, a little lacking in action. Trust me as we countdown to the end action will not be missing!
