Terri's arrival was accompanied by a shock wave akin to an explosive going off and the contents of the room were pushed away from her including shattering the windows and throwing the couch up onto one side.

Other than the lack of fading on the couch, there was little evidence to suggest she was now in the same room only twenty-two years earlier.

I can't believe that I can't get my butt in gear to write anymore...

I hate to do this, but I think I will post what I have, then post scenes as I get them in my head. I think it would likely make people happier than me not posting anything for such long periods of time.

The problem with having a conversation between two versions of the same person is that how do you help the reader tell them apart.

Any suggestions?

... Or later, when you have the good sense to realize where I am about to take you.

Feedback Loops

Yesterday, my muse struck me hard. I nearly got in trouble for going too long on my break. But the last few paragraphs came to me and I had the good sense to jot them down.

Oh, I haven't thought of a preview for the next chapter, mostly because I haven't figured out what part of it I could take a snapshot of and still leave you all waiting to see it.

I'll just stop wondering for a bit and try to get the actual chapter finished.

Someday I will make it all better.

I am just not satisfied at all as to the action, dialogue or anything for this next chapter. It's as though the events in my head, the one you are waiting to read, are toying with me all by themselves.

I know that my update schedule (or lack thereof) sometimes causes people to forget things that happened or to get some details mixed around.

I can relate.

"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?" screamed Augustine as she grabbed Lexi to hold her at eye level.

"Run," was Lexi's blunt response.

You've heard of them, you've seen them. Larger than life, beyond all reason, understanding and morality than should be allowed. Hell, you've probably held one in your hands. Synopsis:What you are about to read is a dark story that I started a bit ago. I have not finished it yet and about halfway through, you'll see my cliff notes. They are my notes explaining to me how the story goes and you all get to see exactly how my creative process works.

This is set in a Superhero universe, much like Marvel or DC characters would find themselves in, I just made my own and borrowed concepts heavily.

the "Wow, they were close, I'd better rethink this a little because that comment has promise..." train of thought is one of many reasons why my tale takes me so long.

Synopsis: The puzzle finally goes from linked pieces to a recognizable shape. Only a few pieces left and the clock is ticking...

Do you know how hard it is to write a story that is tied to, and mirrors at the time, your emotional state, only to have your own life quickly and unbelievably changed around?

I literally don't have the same feelings now, that I did when I started Accidental Magic. Trying to maintain my existence in the real world has done a number on my creative juices and sent them in off in other directions. I spend a great deal of my time just re-reading my own story to remember why my characters were feeling the way they did.

Synopsis: Lexi wants to know how, Terri wants to know Why, but neither of them really wants to listen to what the other has to say. But in the end, something good will come of all this.

The last time I wrote a blog entry, I was so sure I had 22 done.

I know you can read it now, but it originally ended with the line:

"Of course I do, She's my daughter."

Synopsis: What do our dreams tell us about ourselves? What can they reveal about our futures? Sometimes the truth is scary. Sometimes it is just to make us want for something better.

Ok, so my Fiancee's Father is in the hospital following a long and drawn out episode which started last thursday and might be ending today.

...and 22 is easily half done, with what isn't fleshed out is clearly defined.

Not long now, since the bits to follow are long ago written and need only touch ups.

Synopsis: No rest for the wicked, or for anyone being chased by the wicked. At a time when the last thing she needs is a fight, well she gets one anyways. But her fighting spirit is the last thing that anyone was expecting.

Can I just skip this part and flesh out the stuff I already have figured out? It's the End for goddess' sakes!

Okay, the whole, "I'm going to let you in on every little secret" idea isn't working.

I am well underway with the next Chapter of Accidental Magic.

It is entitled Chapter 21: Dancing puppets.

Synopsis: Almost nothing is going quite right for Terri. She lost the suit, she new friends are unsure what to make of her and now she has to go again. Is her Grandmother trying to drive her mad?
